SLA . . . Connecting People and Information

About the SLABF Bulletin

For four decades, the BULLETIN has communicated with the members of the Business & Finance Division of the Special Libraries Association. The BULLETIN conveys information about Division and member activities. It also has developed a reputation for publishing informative and practical articles on the many topics that are of interest to a specially skilled and influential, worldwide readership that currently stands at more than 2,000 information professionals. The Bulletin is indexed in Library and Information Science Abstracts (LISA), Library Literature, and Information Science Abstracts.

The BULLETIN offers a peer-review option to article authors, while continuing to provide publishing opportunities to those who do not choose this option. The peer-review process is double-blind and draws upon a pool of reviewers offering a broad range of expertise. The peer-review option is available for articles on all relevant topics, including those to appear in the BULLETIN's regularly featured columns.

Article size can vary as appropriate for topics, and authors should refer to recent issues of the BULLETIN for general guidance on style. These many options offer a high degree of freedom and opportunity to authors.

Copy deadlines for forthcoming issues are as follows:

Spring 2008 issue: March 15, 2008

Fall 2008 issue: August 1, 2008

Winter 2008 issue: December 1, 2008

Peer-reviewed articles require additional time for the review process. Authors who wish to publish a peer-reviewed article should submit the manuscript six to eight weeks prior to these deadlines.

We invite you to submit manuscripts and to contact the editor for additional information.
